The Wines
Russell Wines has three labels, with all wines sourced from our own vineyards in the Barossa Valley. Wines can be purchased from our online store or from our distributors.
Situated near the small town of Greenock in the western Barossa, Greenock Farm has plantings of ancient shiraz, grenache, mourvedre, semillon, white frontignac, red frontignac, riesling and a touch of tokay, with more recent plantings of shiraz.
The Fenceline
A unique blend of the eight varieties which are growing along the old fence around the vineyard. Usually separated into the various parcels of grapes each vintage, we decided to try a ‘throw it all in’ blend of red and white grapes, and came up with a delicious red wine – we wanted to have fun with this vineyard!
The Victor Shiraz
Ancient shiraz vines yield their secrets only to a chosen few. Shawn Kalleske knows each vine and almost counts each grape. The Victor Shiraz is a crowning glory of his winemaking for Russell Wines.
In the foothills overlooking the village of Krondorf, the St Vincent Vineyard, has rich alluvial soils and cooling nightly gully breezes. This vineyard is in one of the premier locations in the Barossa, the wines displaying great fruit character with soft tannins and balancing acidity.
Augusta Keil planted her garden near the small village of Krondorf in the 1850’s. Renowned for its beauty, visitors came from far and wide to see this now-lost garden. With its rich red soils it is the site for one of our best Shiraz blocks. Nestled below the Barossa hills the hundred-year-old Grenache yields fruit with rich opulent notes whilst the Shiraz produces vibrant flavors typical of the Barossa region.
